My mind is impressed, as the day of Israel’s sixty-fourth birth into the modern era arrives, that God’s dealing with man seems about to make full circle. By that, I mean that the Book given to humanity that is his love letter and His manual for living life on this planet, given through His chosen nation, opens, in my spiritual mind, to the pages of the time of Lot and his life in Sodom.
It seems to me that we can sense, if we consider the headlines today, the angels of judgment at the gates of our own nation. Are they there, sent by the Lord of Heaven, after having entertained the efforts of God’s servants–like Abraham those thousands of years ago—to find, percentage-wise, ten righteous people who have a heart for the things of the Lord?
Israel is the prototype nation–i.e., all successive nations have had Israel to use as a template of how to act, not act, react, and conduct the affairs within the human conditions of their time in the spotlight of history. We are at just such a time of examination, in my estimation, of our own much blessed country.

It seems the prophetic moment has arrived that the apostle Paul warned about in more than one epistle:
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13);
and
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand” (Ephesians 6:13).
Unfolding events of recent days make clear the accuracy of God’s Word in foretelling things to come. Paul, in his perilous times prophecy of 2 Timothy, speaks to some very specific characteristics of end-times mankind that will mark the very end of the Age of Grace–the time just before Christ calls His church into Heaven (John 14:6; Revelation 4:1).

One of the literary descriptions of the Chinese people is often wrapped in one word–inscrutable. Among that word’s synonyms are the following: incomprehensible, unexplainable, unfathomable, impenetrable, inexplicable, ambiguous, and difficult. I think of the nation of China, in general terms, as one thing more–extremely patient.
One of the most validating proofs of the patience of the Chinese is found in, I think, the matter of the debt it has purchased and maintained on its financial books–especially the debt of the United States of America. It is estimated that China holds U.S. Treasury bonds and other debts totaling approximately $1 trillion. The Chinese nation holds indebtedness of other nations, also, to the approximate tune of $2 trillion. It is a troubling matter that this is the case, when one considers that China has been, since the revolution that brought communism to power, America and the world’s most dangerous adversary. It is the most dangerous because of the synonyms above that define the Chinese communist leadership since, particularly, the time of Mao Zedong. They have been all of those things: incomprehensible, unexplainable, unfathomable, impenetrable, inexplicable, ambiguous, and difficult.

It’s like the proverbial broken record–or, I guess that would be “broken CD” in today’s jargon. This summer will be the time of that explosion in the Middle East that will set the world aflame, with petroleum the accelerant that ignites the conflict. We have heard the same dire predictions for at least the past five years. Still, the explosion hasn’t come.
I’ve received numerous copies of Joel Rosenberg’s blog article with the title “War this Summer?" and I’ve heard him talking about all-out war in the Middle East since before he spoke to the Pre-Trib Research Center group in Dallas a number of years ago. Rosenberg is not the only one who has declared early in every year recently past that war will erupt during the summer. Many have predicted that something would happen to spark war so violent that that prophetic region will not be able to contain the devastation. The likely results, it has been said by some, will be the “presumed” Psalms 83 war, or even the Gog-Magog war of Ezekiel 38-39.

America is at the forefront of a significant end-times prophetic signal while the 2012 presidential battle enters the stage of all-out fury. It is not only warfare of a political race we are witnessing, but also what just might be something that will grow to be all-out racial warfare.
Trayvon Martin’s death at the hands of George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida, might be the spark that ignites the U.S. theater of the racial war that has for decades been raging around the world, spawning genocide and dictatorships of every description. It is–in my observation–beyond any doubt—warfare strategically planned by the father of all hatred, the old serpent.
Mainstream media and leftist ideologues–again, in my view—are at the heart of stirring the cauldron of racial strife. These consistently incite, and constantly hold up before the American public the inciters’ own bigotry–that of bias against white citizenry. They incessantly imply and outright declare that the present generation of the Caucasian community of this nation is responsible for the slavery that stained America’s early history.

Thinking on things pertaining to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ–the remembrance of which Christians celebrated Sunday just past–set the story circulating about the Obama administration’s apparent release of information involving Israel and Azerbaijan rumbling through my cogitations.
Betrayal of friends is the fodder of many a tragedy, both in fictional stories and in historical accounts. Judas Iscariot’s treachery against the Lord Jesus is perhaps the most infamous of all such telling and retelling. Never was there a more wonderful and true friend than Jesus. He not only raised the dead, healed the blind, opened the ears of the deaf, healed the sick and lame, and fed multitudes with a miraculous breaking of the loaves and fish, but, he gave God’s Word to the people–God’s love letter to all of mankind. He saved the souls of all the men who were His closest friends–His disciples. All but one, that is…

Mark Steyn, substituting for radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh, was asked by a caller to the program on Friday, March 23, something like the following:
“What do you think is China’s reason for building their military at such a rapid rate? Is it because they think they need to prepare to defend their interests against an attack? Or is it because they intend to attack others in a first strike at some point in the future?”
The British-accented political pundit said he personally senses that China is trying to bankrupt the American economy in much the same way the U.S.–under Ronald Reagan’s presidency—caused the Soviet economy to implode. The twist, Stein implied, is that China is accomplishing the bankrupting process through the debt owed China by this nation. Fully 80 percent of China’s military buildup, he believes, has been funded to this point by the interest on the debt America owes the Chinese communist government.
