The President of the United States has made it official. He is in full support of marriage between same sex couples. The Vice-President first presented his support which nudged the President to make his support known now, instead of later at the Democratic convention. Poor VP, his jaws have no hinges.
Several States now support same sex marriage, as do many governors and past governors. Most of the Democratic leadership and some even among the Republican leadership also openly support same sex marriage.
Nearly all Hollywood celebrities, producers, directors, etc. support same sex marriage. Many in the music field have made their support public. Even among religious organizations, same sex marriage is supported and promoted.

I had the pleasure of speaking to a group of Bible-believers this weekend, not in a church, but in a community center. Small in number, we had a great time. I leave it to church-growth hobbyists to obsess over numbers. My experience the past two days reinforces my view that the Church is doing just fine.
It’s just not very large.
(This all relates to Israel, by the way, as I’ll attempt to demonstrate.)
One of the things I shared with the group this week was the bomb that Andy Stanley dropped recently at his church in Atlanta. I won’t go into detail here, but you can read the entire saga.

The man who occupies the Oval Office used Jesus as one of the reasons he is supporting same sex marriage. Anyone who supports same sex marriage and claims to be a Christian is not following the "Jesus" of the Bible, Yeshua Ha Mashiach. In fact, the president’s concept on this particular issue demonstrates his lack of Christianity by cherry picking verses to support his position. But then again, isn’t that the hallmark of much of the Christian church these days? Isn’t this at least part of the reason why America is in the condition it is in? Many pastors are preaching a different gospel from the pulpit than what is written in scriptures, turning generations away from the ancient path.

My mind is impressed, as the day of Israel’s sixty-fourth birth into the modern era arrives, that God’s dealing with man seems about to make full circle. By that, I mean that the Book given to humanity that is his love letter and His manual for living life on this planet, given through His chosen nation, opens, in my spiritual mind, to the pages of the time of Lot and his life in Sodom.
It seems to me that we can sense, if we consider the headlines today, the angels of judgment at the gates of our own nation. Are they there, sent by the Lord of Heaven, after having entertained the efforts of God’s servants–like Abraham those thousands of years ago—to find, percentage-wise, ten righteous people who have a heart for the things of the Lord?
Israel is the prototype nation–i.e., all successive nations have had Israel to use as a template of how to act, not act, react, and conduct the affairs within the human conditions of their time in the spotlight of history. We are at just such a time of examination, in my estimation, of our own much blessed country.

With two statements made by the Vice President first and then a follow-up statement from the President of the United States, the issue of same sex marriage has become the discussion of a national debate, an issue that will have not only political and moral significance but some say eternal ramifications as well.
However, President Obama said that his practice of the Christian faith led him to the decision that gay marriage is alright and he now supports same sex marriage based on the biblical golden rule.

The man who occupies the Oval Office told ABC News:
"I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married."

One of the achievements of his government that Prime Minister Netanyahu took pride in during a recent speech was the tall fence we’re building along the 220KM border with Egypt. Only problem is that from the video below, it is pretty clear that we might want to have a clear path to the Sinai so that we can preempt the millions of Egyptians that are planning on marching to Jerusalem.
I have said for years that our defensive strategy has got to stop being based on defensive military systems.
Our enemies are on the march. We must embrace the only military doctrine that has ever really worked — preempt them by initiating the war on their territory.
