Christian televangelist Pat Robertson told his viewers that it is okay for a man to divorce his wife if she has Alzheimer’s disease….Yet with his latest offense, Robertson may have given evangelicals and Americans reason to hope that our belief in marriage’s permanence and sacredness is not dead yet.
As is by now well known, Robertson suggested on his show that a husband could divorce his wife and "start all over again" if she had Alzheimer’s. Robertson, in fairness, walked back an inch from his remarks, suggesting that they needed to get a professional ethicist to answer the question while underscoring his empathy for persons in that situation and wrestling with the difficulty of the problem.

To my Dad,
You have taught me a lot of things over the years. You taught me to walk, talk, play and learn. You taught me by telling me all of the things I needed to know, to do things the right way. There are countless sayings that you have taught me, that I use on a daily basis, but the one thing you taught me the most is, by your example.

I have been a Christian for more than 40 years now. The things that impressed me as a younger Christian still impress me, but now other things impress me even more. When I was a brand-new believer, I was very impressed by a powerful preacher or someone with a great musical gift who used it for God’s glory. I am still impressed by those things, but there are other things that impress me now.
What impresses me now is a man who stays faithful to his wife and a wife who stays faithful to her husband for their entire marriage. That is impressive. I am impressed by a Christian who weathers the storms of life and doesn’t become angry at God, but instead comes closer to God. I am impressed by a believer who lives out his or her faith despite setbacks and hardships – and in some cases, severe setbacks and hardships.

Mom, I don’t have any great inspiring words to write. I just wanted to say I love you and I thank God for you. You mean so much to me and I have been truly blessed by the Lord to have you with me. Saying Thank you for all you have done for me wouldn’t even come close to being meaningful. So, I will just say, I Love You.
Happy Mother’s Day Mom
Happy Mother’s Day to all you other mom’s out there as well, but because God blessed me with the best Mom, you will all have to fight over second place for best Mom.

We must never allow ourselves to suppose that little children’s souls may be safely let alone. Their character depends exceedingly on what they see and hear during their first seven years. They are never too young to learn evil and sin. They are never too young to receive religious impressions. They think in their childish way about God, their souls, and a world to come, far sooner and far more deeply than most people are aware. They are far more ready to respond to appeals to their feeling of right and wrong than many suppose. They have each a conscience. God has mercifully not left Himself without a witness in their hearts, fallen and corrupt as their natures are. Each have a soul which will live forever in heaven or in hell. We cannot begin too soon to endeavor to bring them to Christ.

The saying goes “Anybody can be a Father, but it takes a real man to be a Dad”. What does that mean? To be a Real Father, It first takes God to be the center of your life. It takes a total surrender of yourself and your time. It takes your total attention to every detail. It takes just about everything you
got. How can this be done? only though God can it be truly done.
Some people put it this way.
F is for Faithful
A is for Admiration
T is for Thankful
H is for Humble
E is for Endurance
R is for being the “Rock” that holds the family together!

My Mom did not grow up into a perfect loving home. She was raised by her Mom because she lost her Dad at age 10.
She ended up meeting my Dad at Gino’s restaurant one day and never looked back. They ended up getting married and having my two older brothers in between my Dad being in the Navy.
My Mom poured her heart and soul into all of us. In 1972 my Dad gave his life to the Lord and my Mom followed suit soon after. God gave my Mom a loving heart to start out with but his love perfected her love for all of us and made it that much stronger. Whether it was packing our lunches or just doing laundry, she did it all with a happy heart. We knew that she loved us, not because of what she did, but how she did it.
