I was all prepared for a firestorm of protest from the pro-gay lobby when we published Dr. Reagan’s article on homosexuality as an end times sign in our e-newsletter and blog. What I wasn’t prepared for was how the primary opposition didn’t turn out to be gays, but instead were fellow Christians who "love Jesus more than anything in this world."
These professing Christians inundated our email box and the comments section claiming we were "throwing stones" by "condemning others." We were "very cruel" and "hostile," leaving them with a "bitter taste." We were "complete ignoramuses" who were spewing "lies spread by bigots." And, of course, we were what now has become the stereotype of anyone who says homosexuality is a sin — "hateful homophobes." These last two labels are the world’s buzz words wielded effectively to bludgeon any opposition into quiet submission. And these were the brethren!

I have been watching for a very important Biblical phenomenon to take place in Europe for over fifty years. It is a key piece of a prophetic scenario that must take place shortly before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. In chapters 2 and 7 of his book, the prophet Daniel predicted the successive rise of four Gentile world empires. God through Daniel said that these would be the only world empires that would rise before the coming of the Messiah and the establishment of His kingdom over the earth. These kingdoms were Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece and Rome. However, the fourth Kingdom would not be conquered but fade from power until it is miraculously revived again and rule for a little over seven years. Daniel predicts that Rome revive again through the power of a Satan-possessed man that will unite the ten-nations out of the ruins of the old Roman culture and people. His Biblical name is the "Antichrist." Daniel interpreted the prophetic symbols concerning this prophecy:

It seems the prophetic moment has arrived that the apostle Paul warned about in more than one epistle:
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13);
and
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, stand” (Ephesians 6:13).
Unfolding events of recent days make clear the accuracy of God’s Word in foretelling things to come. Paul, in his perilous times prophecy of 2 Timothy, speaks to some very specific characteristics of end-times mankind that will mark the very end of the Age of Grace–the time just before Christ calls His church into Heaven (John 14:6; Revelation 4:1).

One of the literary descriptions of the Chinese people is often wrapped in one word–inscrutable. Among that word’s synonyms are the following: incomprehensible, unexplainable, unfathomable, impenetrable, inexplicable, ambiguous, and difficult. I think of the nation of China, in general terms, as one thing more–extremely patient.
One of the most validating proofs of the patience of the Chinese is found in, I think, the matter of the debt it has purchased and maintained on its financial books–especially the debt of the United States of America. It is estimated that China holds U.S. Treasury bonds and other debts totaling approximately $1 trillion. The Chinese nation holds indebtedness of other nations, also, to the approximate tune of $2 trillion. It is a troubling matter that this is the case, when one considers that China has been, since the revolution that brought communism to power, America and the world’s most dangerous adversary. It is the most dangerous because of the synonyms above that define the Chinese communist leadership since, particularly, the time of Mao Zedong. They have been all of those things: incomprehensible, unexplainable, unfathomable, impenetrable, inexplicable, ambiguous, and difficult.

The global debt crisis is back in the headlines. Right now, red flags are popping up all over Europe, with Spain being the most-watched nation. Last Thursday, Standard & Poor’s cut its credit rating on Spain by two notches, citing the government’s growing budget deficit as a result of economic contraction. A day later, the Spanish government released data showing a record 5,639,500 people are unemployed in that nation, with the unemployment rate hitting 24.4 percent.
Spain may need to pump around $200 billion into its ailing banks. Amazingly, bad loans now make up 8.15 percent of all loans on the books of Spanish banks. That is the highest level in eighteen years. The official debt-to-GDP ratio for Spain is 79 percent, but the actual total is around 130 percent.

“3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;4and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” (2 Timothy 4:3-4 NKJV)
Among the thousands of “last days” signs that are floating around today, these Scripture verses, shown above, are actually validated by the very ones who ridicule prophecy. They stand before the crowds and sit in the pews each Sunday worshipping at the altar of Baal.
This country is inundated with false prophets in the pulpits who are fleecing multiplied thousands of people as I type. These religious hucksters are politically correct, but Biblically incorrect. Yet people keep falling for a lie because that’s what they want to hear.

O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? Matthew 16:3
We must have another sort of discernment if, like the children of Issachar, we are to have understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do. If we can escape from all the wrangling and simply read our new Testaments, we can recover a clear view of what lies ahead: civilization a decaying carcass awaiting the vultures, anarchy in the world, apostasy in the professing church, apathy even among true believers. Beyond that, the final showdown between Christ and Antichrist, God who became man and the man who will claim to be God; Armageddon, the final world conflict, and the Appearing of our Lord.
There is no denying that the early Christians, while they lived and learned, also looked for Jesus to return any day. But Constantine became a professed believer and Augustine envisioned his City of God, and sine then we have tried to build here the Kingdom instead of bringing back the King.
And do not forget that the man who says there are no “signs” is himself a sign! (2 Peter 3:3,4).
