At SfG We believe……

That God created the earth and everything else in it, on it and around it in Six Literal Days and he saw that what he created was good and he rested on the seventh day.

That God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit are three parts of God that make up the trinity and are three parts of our glorious God.

That God sent his Son Jesus to be born in human form from a virgin birth as a perfect sinless sacrifice for our sins because we are incapable of paying the price for them.

That Jesus lived a sinless perfect life and was crucified on the Cross and died for the whole world’s sins. After three days he rose from the dead and ascended to Heaven.

That we are saved by Grace alone which was his sacrifice on the cross in which he paid the full price for our sins and not by any works that we have done or could ever do.

That although we are saved by Grace alone and not by working for our Salvation but in accordance with Jesus own words we are not only to believe but also to repent of our sins and live a Godly life which produces fruit by the power of the Holy Spirit that indwells in us.

That we have a free will and therefore can either choose to accept God’s free gift of Salvation and spend eternity with him in Heaven or choose not to accept it which will result in our eternal damnation. This Choice in No Way makes us Sovereign over God because without him “We can do nothing”.

That Jesus made it clear in scripture that he would come back for his Church before the Great Tribulation and take us to be with him in an event called the Rapture of the Church.

That the Bible is the infallible, inspired and inerrant word of God and nothing in the Bible was written by man alone but by the Holy Spirit’s guidance through the men of the Bible.
These are the Foundational beliefs that we believe are self evident from Scripture itself.
