The Chrislam Movement In The Apostate Church

Bill Wilson 90x115by Bill Wilson

During the weekend of November 13, many Christian churches across the United States began a series of sermons aimed at bringing about reconciliation between Muslims and Christians. These misguided Presbyterian ministers are trying to focus on a relationship between the Holy Bible and the Koran they call “Chrislam.” They are saying that because the Koran mentions Jesus that there is common ground with Christianity. To prove their point, they are placing Korans along side the Holy Bible in their pews. And they are teaching that you can be a follower of Christ without necessarily believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins offering the gift of eternal salvation.

Writes commentator Paul Williams:

“The Chrislam movement has gained impetus by statements from President George W. Bush and that Christians, Jews, and Muslims all worship the same God and by Rick Warren’s reference to Isa (the Muslim name for Jesus) in his prayer at the inauguration of President Barack Obama.”

Williams points out that Jesus in the Koran is not the only-begotten Son of God nor the Messiah. Williams says,

“He is rather viewed as a prophet who was appointed by Allah to prepare mankind for the coming of Mohammad.” In the Koran, Williams reminds readers, “The victim at Calvary, Islam teaches, was either Simon of Cyrene or Judas Iscariot.”

The Koran states in Sura 5:17, “In blasphemy indeed are those that say that God is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then hath the least power against God, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every-one that is on the earth? For to God belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He createth what He pleaseth. For God hath power over all things.” The Koran has many verses that command the followers of allah to kill Christians and Jews if they do not convert to Islam. There is absolutely no common ground between the Holy Scriptures and the Koran when these are the mandates of the prophet Mohammed, who wrote the Koran.

Jesus said in John 14:6,

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

This is the central doctrine of Christianity. There is instruction by the Holy Scriptures to not fellowship with those who do not recognize the truth in this doctrine. 2nd John verses 9-11 say,

“Whoseover transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.”

Thus are those deceivers who believe in common ground with Islam.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

  1. I believe your thesis of (some) pastor somewhere teaching in error, has taken over a significance in your mind that supercedes the teaching of Christ to disciple.
Your article at best shows as prophecy has warned of corruption with the Christian church in end times. I have written an article titled “How Not To Disciple” concerning misdirected and misinformed slander against a people seeking God, a direct result of religious leaders demonizing others, when today the Christian church in America spends mor time in the world than in the work predestined in Gods’ will and purpose.
If you want a religious war, let the “Crusade” against Muslim be your forte, if you are worried Christians may be converted to Islam, I would suggest you spend more time teaching Christs ministry and purpose of God to your flock.
You have misused verses of the Qur’an much like the enemies of Christ misquote out of context the Bible. My suggestion is that you take some time to look into this matter.

  2. Hi DeWayne,

Welcome to the site, As Christians we spend our time teaching everything about God including the false teachings of other religions. It seems to me your making a veiled attempt at being neutral in this but what your doing is defending a false religion. If people choose Islam over Christianity, than that is there choice and I cannot make them choose the God. All we as Christians can do is point them in the right direction.

It’s not about a religious war, it is about the truth.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

If I were you, I would worry less about the Christians and worry about the millions of Muslim “Misunderstanders of Islam” that are around the world attempting to kill Christians, Jews and anybody else who’s religion is not Islam and using “Jihad” as a justification for it.

    Thanks for stopping by

  3. Mr DeWayne,

If you are a muslim, I see why you made the above comments because YOU ARE BLIND TO THE TRUTH, that JESUS CHRIST, FULLY GOD, FULLY MAN(YET WITHOUT SIN) IS THE ONLY WAY, if YOU THINK YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN THEN YOU NEED TO REALLY EXAMINE YOURSELF TO SEE IF YOU’RE STILL IN THE FAITH, if you think you’re in the faith, then; well we need to really get serious; fast and pray for you on your behalf and it would be good for you to do the same to seek God’s help.

  4. Hi BFAUGERE,

Welcome to the site. We need to pray not only for DeWayne but for all the people out there that don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Time is getting short so let’s all stand with God until the end.

    Thanks for stopping by

  5. Christianity embraces islam every time a minister commands an unholy tithe. Ditto for mormonism.

One event by NIV readers who know no better than to lead people back in under the condemnation of law will never make a farthing of difference to an alive remnant which hears the voice of Jesus and sees clearly in His word.

Whether it be chrislam, Hinn, Murdock or Bentley; the apostasy is mainstream and the remnant is left to trust Jesus Christ alone. Until the widespread “Christian” affliction of addiction to bricks, mortar and cash based ministry is diminished, there will be no Holy Spirit interference allowed by pharisitic religious leaders whose sole intent is to guard turf born of self-indulgence and unwillingness to work in the world. (Matthew 15:8)

Only Jesus saves. All the rest is aptly described by our Lord in Matthew 23, and supported by Paul in Acts 20.

We can condemn the outreach to the slaves of islam if we wish. But, we would do well to remind ourselves that our own house is in horrible disorder and that we are a far cry from having any command over the exclusive franchise on the truth as Jesus would have us understand it.

  6. Hi Jim,

Welcome to the site, I have to disagree with you, A false teacher asking for a unholy tithe has nothing to do with the false religion of Islam. I for one will call both false, Islam is a false religion not because I say so, but because our Lord Jesus and the Scriptures say so. The scriptures also call these so called “Christian” leaders false as well like Benny Hinn and the likes of Todd Bentley.

These men might by invoking the name of God or Jesus but that doesn’t make them Christian. That’s why Jesus said he will sort out the false from the true at the end. Because they are false teachers does not mean we should no longer call another false religion false. I don’t consider them part of “Our House”

We need to speak the truth about all of it. Not shrink back because some claim to be Christian and are not.

    Thanks for stopping by Jim

  7. Thank you for revealing this great deception! Jesus is the only way to the Father. Jesus said “I am the Way.. no man comes to the Father but by me” (John 14:6) “There is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim 2:5) Anything else is lies and deception!

The Apostle Paul spent much of his life and writing confronting error and deception. Even the 7 letters in Revelation 2 and 3 reveal God’s hatred for false teaching/ false doctrine. See Rev 2:12-17.

We need to expose evil so that by God’s grace and mercy people will see their error and repent and turn, in thruth, to Almighty God!

    Keep up the good work!

  8. Rocco,

Those men are not invoking the Name (tetragrammaton)Because no one really knows the True Name any more except maybe a select few of the Rabbis and they are not going to let it out for fear that it will be abused…God, Lord and the like are merely titles and not the True name of God…

    Thanks For Stopping By,

    Richard

  9. Hi Richard,

    Welcome,

Maybe a better choice of words would have been for me to say that they are just “using” the name of God. Regardless, they are still false teachers.

and thank you Richard for stopping by our site

  10. It is time to stand up for the God we believe in for He is the ONLY God!!! I have wrestled with the fact that to be a Christian, I am against muslims and I now believe we must reject muslims and any religion not founded on the Bible. The time is NOW!!! I reject muslims and their religion for they are all against us and want to kill us. The end is near.

  11. Good reply deborah, however we must rememberwhat our Messiah told us in Matthew 5:43-48 43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

    44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

46For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

47And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

48Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Love the sinner but pray agains the sin. Yes it is hard. Satan will never make anything easy for us but sin. Yes we should speak out but do it in love standing firm in Yahweh’s Word.

  12. Please visit: http://www.thestraightway.org So that you can get the truth about the Qur’an and Islam. There is NO fellowship between darkness and light! We in America show ourselves to be fools for Islam and traitors to Jesus Christ if we ask Him to sit at the table of deception! Islam is NOT compatible with the Bible. Mohammed was a false prophet who taught in Qur’an 5:72-73 that Christians are Infidels. What are Muslims to do with Infidels? Qur’an 47:4, “So when you meet the Infidels, CHOP OFF their heads until you have made a great slaughter of them.” Just how can you interprete this as fellowship with Christians? The Muslim people are lost and on the road to hell! If a Christian really loves them, he MUST warn him to repent and receive Christ. Many Christians and “Chrislam” followers will answer before the Throne of God Almighty for how they betrayed Jesus and the lost of Islam. God help America!

  13. Hello Kristie,

Welcome and yes you are correct, There is no fellowship between darkness and light.

We must continue to warn as many people as we can because there is not much time left before we meet Jesus in the clouds. I wish it were today.

    God Bless

    Brother in Christ

  14. All I am saying is that you have used the Qur’an Sura 5:17 with some liberty saying ‘blasphemy’, when a it is more clearly saying ‘unbeliever’ since saying there is more than one God.
The point is that the Islamic have a great problem with Christ as the son of God considering they believe in only one God, and instead understand Christ as a great prophet, identified as much as in the Bible but a Prophet and not the Savior (Messiah). They do say Christ will return in the end to judge.
What might be asked is then concerning the Jewish that reject Jesus and holy conception by Mary, believing Christ is neither Savior or the Messiah.
What my faulting concered is your maturity in directing derision and distain upon anothers religion. It is close angering both Gentile and Muslim saying the Qur’an teaches Muslim to forcefully convert others, yet the earliest Sura 2:256 clearly forbids spreading their religion by force. Certainly you are condemning all Muslim to judgment and second death as the unsaved.
What should be taught is the witness, those sent with the word, and should they approach a city of many statue or idol to many gods, it is not brushing the dust from shoes and leaving that was taught, nor enterring this city declaring all as demonized souls, but accepting the opportunity before them.
While you make enemies, the church called peacemakers will become mature in unity, and then as peacemakers do the works of righteousness of bringing truth to those that seek. Many false religions can be found, some call there religion Christianity. These indeed may the very end days of division and strife, when the time of listening is over.

  15. Hi DeWayne,

Our job as Christians is to spread the word of God. To spread the Good News that Jesus Christ died, was buried and Rose Again on the third day to take the punishment for our sins. This is the only way to get to Heaven, straight from God.

So we could argue all day long about Jihad, and Islam and it’s a peaceful religion or not. Islam’s history shows that it is not a peaceful religion.

The facts still remain the same. Islam is a false religion and no amount of appeasing people on this fact will change that. You may argue that we are making enemies, but I argue that if we do not stand up and call a false religion what it is, we would be denying the God that created us, died for us and paid the penalty of our sins.

Your welcome to reply and I thank you for visiting the site.
