Becoming Entirely His

Oswald Chambers 90x115by Oswald Chambers

Let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing —James 1:4

Many of us appear to be all right in general, but there are still some areas in which we are careless and lazy; it is not a matter of sin, but the remnants of our carnal life that tend to make us careless. Carelessness is an insult to the Holy Spirit. We should have no carelessness about us either in the way we worship God, or even in the way we eat and drink.

Suffering Continues in Darfur

Chuck Missler 90x115by Chuck Missler

For an estimated three million Darfur villagers, it’s been seven long years of bombs dropped by (old Russian ex-military planes) camel-back raids, displacement, rape, and being robbed of humanitarian aid. For refugees unable to leave the region, it’s been as many as seven years in makeshift homes without basic utilities like clean water or electricity, public schools, jobs, markets, doctors’ offices or hospitals. And for the orphaned, it’s been as many as seven years without parents to provide or care for them.

Even the most committed believer has those moments when fear or worry can kick in.

Anxiety can overtake us. Maybe we’re concerned about our future, feel discouraged about some of our failures and shortcomings, or find ourselves anxious about the lives of our family members.

Today’s Sleeping Giant – Part 1

Leonard Ravenhill 90x115by Leonard Ravenhill

Solemnly and slowly, with his index finger extended, Napoleon Bonaparte outlined a great stretch of country on a map of the world. “There,” he growled, “is a sleeping giant. Let him sleep! If he wakes, he will shake the world.” That sleeping giant was China. Today, Bonaparte’s prophecy of some one hundred and fifty years ago makes sense.

Has the Word of God Gone Missing?

Ron Graham 90x115by Ron Graham

“The writers of the Bible believed their writings to be God inspired but in all actuality that just isn’t the case. The Bible is not to be taken literally as God’s word”. I heard the above quote recently on a national call in radio program. The caller told the radio hosts that her pastor was responsible for the above quote. The response from the two host pastors of the program was a rousing, in unison” RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!” Personally I thought that was good advice.

Iran in Bible Prophecy

Chris Schang 90x115by Chris Schang

One of the most interesting end times events involves a Russian led Muslim coalition that tries to invade Israel in the last days. This prophecy is foretold in Ezekiel 38-39. The two chief nations that lead this attack as Russia (Magog) and Iran (Persia). These two nations are currently expanding ties and Russia is currently involved in helping to finish the Iranian nuclear program. This nuclear program is a threat to the world as Iran has not made any genuine attempts to work with the world organizations responsible for controlling the proliferation of nuclear weapons. It is my opinion that this new found friendship between Russia and Iran is currently setting us on a collision course for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

For He Is Good

Greg Laurie 90x115by Greg Laurie

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
—Hebrews 13:15

We can praise God in good times and we can praise God in bad times. And I don’t know that we will fully understand what is good or bad for us on this side of heaven. When we are younger, we think certain things are good, such as success, while other things are bad, such as hardship.
